Is SOFT 2 in 1  detergent safe for cloth nappies?
Yes. BABY and SOFT are specifically formulated for washing modern cloth nappies and is on the Clean Cloth Nappies approved detergent list. It contains four deep-cleaning enzymes (protease, amylase, lipase, and cellulase) that break down urine, milk proteins, and food stains without damaging nappy fabrics or elastics.

Can I use SOFT for everyday laundry? 
Yes you can, but not all fabrics need the added softener. SOFT works best for natural fabrics like cotton, hemp or bamboo that get crunchy over time. BABY is a powerful general-purpose laundry detergent. If it can clean cloth nappies to perfection (genuinely the dirtiest laundry you’ll ever deal with), it handles everyday clothes, baby wear, towels, and bedding easily. It’s our most versatile detergent.

Is it safe for sensitive skin and eczema?
Yes  SOFT is free from SLS, SLES, parabens, phosphates, synthetic fragrances, dyes, and optical brighteners, all common irritants for sensitive skin.

How much detergent should I use per wash?
For a standard main wash, use 1 scoop (45g) for smaller machines and up to 2 scoops (90g) for larger machines. For a pre-wash or first wash cycle, use half a scoop (20–25g). Always use warm water (40–60°C) for best results as this activates the enzymes.

Do I need a separate laundry booster?
No. SOFT includes a built-in laundry booster in the formula, so you don’t need to buy or add a separate booster product. One scoop does the lot — saving you money and cupboard space.

Is this detergent Australian made?
Yes. B Clean Co products are made in Adelaide, South Australia in a family-owned factory. We use ingredients sourced primarily from Australia and every pouch is packed locally.

What’s the difference between BABY, SOFT, and SPORT?
BABY is our all-rounder perfect for sensitive skin, cloth nappies, and general laundry. SOFT includes a built-in fabric softener for natural fabrics like towels and cotton without reducing absorbency. SPORT is formulated with extra enzymes to de-funk activewear, gym gear, and heavily sweated sportswear. All three are plant-based and free from nasties.
